Meeting Wednesday aims to abolish county homelessness in 10 years

The Merced County Association of Governments said it invited people to a meeting to seek local solutions to end homelessness.

The meeting will be held Wednesday, Oct. 20, from 10 a.m. to noon at Merced City Hall Council Chambers, 678 West 18th Street.

MCAG described the event as the “first community stakeholders meeting” about the county’s 10-year plan to end homelessness. Philip Mangano, president and CEO of the American Round Table to Abolish Homelessness, will be the featured speaker.
