The California Fish and Game Commission announced the start of turkey, quail and pheasant season in California.
Pheasant season begins the second Saturday in November and will last for 44 days. The daily bag limit is two males a day for the first two days of the season, and three males a day after the first two days of the season. Possession limit is double the daily bag limit.
General quail season season begins the third Saturday in October and extends through the last Sunday in January. The bag limit is 10 quail in any combination of species a day and possession limit is double the daily bag limit.
The fall wild turkey season begins the second Saturday in November and extends for 16 consecutive days. The bag limit is one either sex turkey a day, one a season. The possession limit is one a season. The spring season for wild turkeys begins the last Saturday in March and extends for 37 consecutive days.
The second dove season begins the second Saturday in November and goes for 45 days. Bag limit is no limit for spotted doves, Eurasian collared doves and ringed turtle doves. Mourning dove and white-winged dove bag limit is 10 doves a day.
