Habitat for Humanity to hold annual dinner meeting Saturday in Merced

Habitat for Humanity of Merced County will hold its annual dinner and meeting Saturday at 5:30 p.m. at the Hoffmeister Center, 19th and Canal streets in Merced.

At the meeting, the first local Habitat partner to pay her mortgage in full will be recognized. Isabel Castro, whose home in Le Grand was dedicated on April 2, 1995, completed her mortgage payments Oct. 1.

There will be a video about the framing of a home on West 11th Street in Merced, and a program of vocal music will be presented by Harmony Valley Chorus.

A potluck and raffle will also be held. For the potluck, people with last names beginning A-G are encouraged to bring a dessert, H-N a salad or side dish, and P-Z a main dish. For more information, call (209) 357-0701.
