Workshop for aspiring playwrights Monday

Aspiring playwrights are encouraged to attend a playwriting workshop from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Monday at Off The Shelf books in Downtown Merced. Sponsored by the Merced Writers Center, the workshop will be taught by Playhouse Merced Education Director Noelle Chandler, and playwright Kim McMillon. This workshop is free to the public, and offers budding playwrights an opportunity to hone their skills and showcase their work.

The Merced Writers Center aims to celebrate, encourage, empower and integrate the diverse communities and landscapes of Merced County and other neighboring communities within the San Joaquin Valley by organizing, promoting and implementing literary projects, readings, events and workshops. Off The Shelf Books is located at 315 West Main St. The workshop is scheduled to happen the first Monday of every month.
