Playhouse Merced Conservatory debuts 'Mr. Black's Magic Book'

Playhouse Merced Conservatory is debuting the original work "Mr. Black's Magic Book" this weekend. Three showings of the dark comedy are being offered, with performances scheduled for 7:30 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, and 2 p.m. on Sunday. The play tells the tale of a lonely wizard who enjoys casting spells that split up happy families. Then, a young boy, his sister, a mouse and two bluebirds get involved.
