A goat workshop will be held March 15 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at McCay Hall, 2820 Highway 140 in Catheys Valley.
The workshop, sponsored by the University of California Cooperative Extension, will look at goats as fun, profit or fire protection. Topics will include keeping goats safe, basic goat nutrition needs, commitment needed for owning a small herd and goat uses for fire fuel control.
Cost for the workshop is $20, and includes lunch catered by Sal’s Mexican Restaurant. Reservations should be made by today by calling (209) 966-2417.
