The Merced County Arts Council said a Hmong dance group will perform Saturday May 14 in the “2nd Saturdays: Concerts for Kids” program.
The performance will be held at the Merced Multicultural Arts Center at 10:30 a.m.
Local resident Nancy Xiong, with a little help from her friends, will perform to celebrate Asian Heritage Month. Children will get to make traditional crafts, play games and try on traditional Hmong costumes.
The “2nd Saturdays - Concerts for Kids” program was created by the Merced County Arts Council in June 2008 to expose children years 3-8 years old to live performing arts. It’s held the second Saturday of every month at 10:30 a.m. at the multicultural center located at 645 W. Main Street in downtown Merced. Tickets are $5 for children and parents get in free.
