The Lucia Mar Unified School District in Arroyo Grande has hired a new assistant superintendent of business services.
Raynee Daley, the deputy superintendent/chief business official of the Merced Union High School District, will start with Lucia Mar in July. Her annual salary was not immediately available.
Daley is currently responsible for managing an $85 million operating budget, directing the management of a $149.5 million general obligation bond, and providing oversight to the construction of facilities, according to a news release from the Lucia Mar district. She has 25 years of experience in public education, including in business service operations, human resources, teaching, counseling and administration.
"She brings a great wealth of knowledge and expertise that will help us navigate these challenging financial times," Superintendent Jim Hogeboom said in the statement.
Daley succeeds Janice Smith, who has served as the district’s interim superintendent of business services.
