Merced Indian Restaurant is Burglarized

A burglary was reported Saturday morning when an alarm went off at Taste of Little India at 1052 West Main Street.Merced Police showed up, but no one was there, according to Sgt. Bobby Chapman. “They found a smashed window when they inside and cleared it. They secured it and called the manager. He said the register was missing,” Chapman said, adding no one was found inside. The manager reported $1,400 was missing from the register, Chapman said. He said there is no information on the suspect or suspects involved.Detectives ask anyone with information about the shooting to call Sgt.
