Caltrans says work on Highway 99 next week will close some lanes

Caltrans said it will close the left lane of Highway 99 from Black Rascal Canal to Buhach Road beginning Monday, May 16, through Friday, May 20, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Crews will prune and mantain vegetation in the area. Motorists should expect 15-minute delays.

The agency will also close the northbound left lane on Highway 99 from Webber Canal to Applegate Road. Work will occur Saturday, May 21, from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. Crews will repair the guardrail at that location. Motorists should expect 15-minute delays.

The agency also said it will perform one-way traffic control on Highway 165 from Westside Boulevard to the Merced/Stanislaus County line. Work will occur begging Monday, May 16, through Friday, May 20, from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Crews will pave the road in that location. Motorists should expect 15-minute delays.

Alternate routes should be taken when possible. The work is scheduled to begin as listed, but is subject to change, based on the weather.
