The Greater Merced Chamber of Commerce said it will hold a community-based contest to search for a new logo, with $150 going to the winner.
In celebration of its 75th anniversary and the move back to downtown Merced, the chamber said it’s eager to establish a new image that will take them forward for the next 75 years.
The Greater Merced Chamber of Commerce, in a news release, called itself “the premier business resource providing advocacy, education, networking and community stewardship. Guided by core principles, The Greater Merced Chamber partners with business, government and community leaders to promote a strong local economy.”
Selecting a new logo is the first phase of an updated marketing plan that the chamber’s board has been working on for the past few months. After the logo selection, a new website will be launched as well as a quarterly business lifestyle magazine. The new logo will incorporate the chamber’s new tag line: The Greater Merced Chamber of Commerce, Your Partner in Business.
The contest is open to any individual residing in Merced County. Complete contest rules can be found on the chamber’s website www.merced-chamber.com. Entries may be submitted via email to firstname.lastname@example.org. All entries must be submitted by noon, June 10. The winning logo will be unveiled at the chamber’s annual installation dinner June 30. The winner will receive recognition in print as well as online. Please call the chamber at (209) 384-7092 if you have any questions.
