Local scout leader picked for staff of World Jamboree in Sweden

Jay Herbrand local scout leader who serves as Wawona Scout District Training chair and the Greater Yosemite Council Training Chair has been selected to serve on the staff for the Boy Scout World Jamboree to be held in Sweden this summer July 25 to Aug. 8.

Herbrand, who develops training programs for all scouting leaders in the Greater Yosemite Council, will have the responsibility as staff member to provide administrative staff service to the 35,000 scouts that will attend the Jamboree from scouting organizations worldwide.

The 2016 Jamboree is scheduled to be held in Japan, and the 2019 World Jamboree is scheduled to be held in the United States at the Boy Scout Summit Bechtel Reservation in West Virgina.
