Fair's last day to feature grandstand entertainment, Gran Jaripeo and rising Latina star

The Merced County Fair is entering is fifth and last day with plenty of entertainment and other attractions for fairgoers on Father's Day.

At the grandstand, the three-hour entertainment extravaganza features Gran Jaripeo starring Ezequiel Pena, singing while riding his Andalusian horse. When Pena isn't serenading the crowd, Arkangel R-15 will perform their brand of South-of-the Border music and in between the musical performances there will be bull riding. The show starts at 5 p.m.

Admission to the Gran Jaripeo is in addition to general fair admission. Advance tickets cost $15 each and are available at the following Merced locations: Rancho San Miguel Market; Carniceria Vallarta, Prestigio Jewelers at Merced Mall and Fantastic Furniture. At 8:30 p.m. Irene Davi, a rising star in the Latin music scene, will wrap up five nights of headline entertainment in the Outdoor Theatre. The Outdoor Theatre Concert Series is presented by Table Mountain Casino. The Davi concert is presented by O'Reilly Kragen Auto Parts and Rancho San Miguel Markets.
