Cannella to hold hearing July 15 in Merced on HSR impact on agriculture

Senate Committee on Agriculture Chairman Anthony Cannella (R-Ceres) will host a joint hearing with Senate Committee on Transportation and Housing Chairman Mark DeSaulnier (D-Concord) on Friday, July 15 at the Merced County Office of Administration to discuss the impact of high-speed rail on California’s agriculture industry.

The hearing was previously planned for April 8, but was postponed for scheduling reasons. The title of the hearing is “From Food to Rail: High-Speed Rail Impacts on Agriculture”

It will be held at 1 p.m. in the Board of Supervisors chamber, 3rd floor, County Administration Building, 2222 M Street, Merced 95340.
