MARIPOSA--Former U.S. Congressman George Radanovich (R-CA), who served eight terms in the U.S. House of Representatives until retiring in 2010, announced the release of his new book, The New World Order is the Old World Order.
A leading voice in Congress on the need for cultural reform, Radanovich argues that with the world in decline due to failed political philosophies such as Communism, Fascism, Socialism and liberal progressiveness, rebuilding the four institutions of faith, family, work and government are the cornerstones for real change in American society and governance, according to a news release.
“Sixteen years as a member of Congress in Washington have given me a clear view of what works and what doesn’t,” Radanovich said in the release. “Americans have historically put their faith in their leaders to keep this nation on the right track, but I am convinced that politics is downstream from culture. We have seen the country and the world in a slow decline over the past decades, and Washington politicians are not going to correct that. It’s not just a matter of giving the power to the right person or the right political party. Real reform begins not in Washington, but in our culture at home and in our communities.”
Radanovich cites failed political philosophies – Communism, Fascism, Socialism and American Liberalism – within the last century as having broken down the fabric of our society and exploded the size of government, leaving massive public debt and crumbling social and economic institutions in their wake. The answer, he says, lies in looking back to world views that worked centuries ago.
“We must rebuild these four institutions of faith, family, work and government in order to restore America to greatness,” Radanovich said in the news release. “The answer is not in some new philosophy, but in the world order that existed long before some of these destructive and failed political philosophies came into vogue. We are in desperate need of a new world view. Living a life of freedom in the face of God, with a Constitution of limited powers, and free access to strong institutions of faith, family, work and government is the way back to American exceptionalism.”
The New World Order is the Old World Order is available through www.Amazon.com, www.BarnesandNoble.com, or through its publisher, Xulon Press, www.XulonPress.com/bookstore. Former U.S. Congressman Radanovich, who represented California’s 19th District for eight terms in the House of Representatives, is the founder of The Four Institutions (www.TheFourInstitutions.com), a foundation for cultural reform. He also serves as the senior adviser to The DEH Group, a Washington, D.C. government affairs firm.
Elected to Congress in 1994, Radanovich served as president of the House Republican freshman class of the new majority, and pressed the need for cultural reform to accompany the reduction in the size of government.
Radanovich served on the House Energy and Commerce Committee and was ranking member of its Subcommittee on Commerce, Trade and Consumer Protection. He also sat on the Committee’s Subcommittee on Communications, Technology and the Internet, and the Subcommittee on Oversight and Investigation. Prior to that, Radanovich served on the House Budget Committee, the House Foreign Relations Committee and the House Resources Committee, serving as Chairman of the Resources Subcommittee on Water and Power and the Subcommittee on National Parks. Following his retirement from Congress in 2010, Radanovich returned to his hometown of Mariposa, where he oversees his family vineyard.
