Cannella to host 'From Food to Rail: High-Speed Rail Impacts on Agriculture' Friday in Merced

Senate Committee on Agriculture Chairman Anthony Cannella (R-Ceres) will host a joint hearing with Senate Committee on Transportation and Housing Chairman Mark DeSaulnier (D-Concord) on Friday at the Merced County Office of Administration to discuss the impact of high-speed rail on California’s agriculture industry.

Members of the Senate Committee on Agriculture, members of the Senate Committee on Transportation and Housing, California High-Speed Rail Authority Chief Executive Officer Roelof van Ark, Agriculture industry group representatives and local farmers will also attend the joint informational hearing, “From Food to Rail: High-Speed Rail Impacts on Agriculture.”

It will be held at 1 p.m. in the Board of Supervisors chamber, third floor, County Administration Building, 2222 M Street, Merced 95340.
