A man crashed his single-engine plane at Los Banos Municipal Airport Wednesday night.

James Goodman, 74, wrecked on the runway at about 8:25 p.m.

Fire Chief Chet Guintini said Goodman wasn’t hurt.

"We had a pilot coming in to get fuel and the wind picked up,” Guintini said. "(The plane) got stuck in the runway (but) he walked away."

Guintini said there are typically one or two crashes at the airport each year.
