Caltrans to perform extensive work on county highways next week, leading to delays

Caltrans said it will close various on- and off-ramps on Highway 99 as follows:The southbound off-ramp from 16th Street to the East Merced Overhead on Thursday, Aug. 11, from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.The southbound off-ramp at the junction of Highway 140 on Wednesday, Aug. 10, from noon to 2:30 p.m. The northbound off-ramp at the junction of Highway 59/V Street on Tuesday, Aug. 9, from 9 a.m. to noon.The northbound on-ramp at the junction of Highway 59/MLK Way on Tuesday, Aug. 9, from noon to 2:30 p.m.The southbound off-ramp at the junction of Highway 59/MLK Way on Wednesday, Aug. 10, fro 9 a.m. to noon.Crews will landscape the area in those locations. Motorists should expect 5-minute delays.Caltrans will also close the northbound off-ramp of I-5 to the junction of Highway 165/Mercy Spring. Road paving will occur Friday, Aug. 12, from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Motorists should expect 15-minute delays.The agency will perform one-way traffic control on Highway 33 from Plaza Road to the Highway 140/Sullivan Road junction. Road paving will begin Monday, Aug. 8, through Friday, Aug. 12, from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. Motorists should expect 15-minute delays.Caltrans will perform one-way traffic control on Highway 140 from the junction of I-5 to the San Joaquin River. Road paving will begin Monday, Aug. 8, through Friday, Aug. 12, from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Motorists should expect 20-minute delays.The agency said it will perform one-way traffic control on Highway 33 from the Delta Mendota Canal to Mission D’Oro. Work will begin Monday, Aug. 8, through Wednesday, Aug. 10, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Crews will grind and dig out the road in that location. Motorists should expect 15-minute delays.The work is scheduled as listed, but is subject to change based on weather conditions.
