'Community Conversations' to focus on Neighborhood Watch, Playhouse Merced and Gustine

Neighborhood Watch in Merced, a look at Gustine and Playhouse Merced are some of the topics this week on “Community Conversations,” a public service program on KYOS.

The hour-long show focuses on community, education and government news affecting residents throughout Merced County. It airs on KYOS, 1480 AM, at 7 p.m. Saturday and at 3 p.m. Sunday.

This weekend’s lineup: Lindsey Johnson from the city talks about the new revitalized Neighborhood Watch Program; Marilyn Fauerbach of the Playhouse Merced talks about the Playhouse's upcoming gala; Merced Chamber of Commerce President David Melin will speak about Leadership Merced and other chamber programs; Gustine City Manager Greg Greesen gives an update on the city of Gustine and Mike Conway from the city of Merced gives an update on the High Speed Rail EIR.

The host this week is Roger Wood and Steve Colvard from KYOS is the engineer. The show is produced by Nathan Quevedo, public information officer for the Merced County Office of Education MCOE, Mike Conway, public information officer at the city of Merced, Roger Wood and Scott Hernandez-Jason of UC Merced, in association with the county of Merced and Merced College.
