Caltrans work at four county sites next week will cause some delays

Caltrans will close the left lane on Highway 99 at the junction of Highways 140 and 59 to Black Rascal Canal. Crews will install guardrail in the area. Work will begin Monday, Aug. 15, through Friday, Aug. 19, from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. Motorists should expect 15-minute delays.

The agency will also close the southbound on-ramp at 16th Street in Merced at Highway 99, where crews will build a bridge. Work will begin Monday, Aug. 15, until Friday, Aug. 19, from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. Motorists should expect 15-minute delays.

Caltrans will perform one-way traffic control on Highway 140 from the junction of I-5 to the San Joaquin River, where crews will pave the road. Work will begin Monday, Aug. 15, through Friday, Aug. 19, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Motorist should expect 20-minute delays.

The agency will also perform one-way traffic control on Highway 33 from Plaza Road to the Highway 140/Sullivan Road junction, where crews will pave the road. Work will begin Monday, Aug. 15, through Thursday, Agu. 18, from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. Motorists should expect 15-minute delays.Altrnate routes should be taken when possible. The work is scheduled as listed but is subject to change, based on weather conditions.
