The Merced County Association of Governments will hold three public hearings in October in the cities of Los Banos, Atwater, and Merced to gather testimony on transit needs.
The public input helps the MCAG board determine if there are any unmet needs that are reasonable to meet. The board includes an elected official from each of the six cities and an elected official from each of the five county districts.
Bus service is available to and from the meetings, but must be arranged in advance by calling (209) 384-3111.
If members of the public cannot attend a meeting, but want to provide comments, they should contact Terri Lewis at (209) 723-3153, ext. 318 or email her at email@example.com.
The schedule: Los Banos, Monday, Oct. 3, 6 p.m., City Hall, 520 J St.; Atwater, Tuesday, Oct. 4, 6 p.m., Council Chambers, 750 Bellevue Road; Merced, Wednesday, Oct. 12, 6 p.m., Sam Pipes Conference Room, City Hall, 678 W. 18th St.
