Caltrans has closed Highway 165 between the junctions of Highways 140 and 152 to through traffic. The route closed on Oct. 3, and is scheduled to reopen on Feb. 12, 2012.
Local traffic will be able to access 165 from the south at the junction of Highway 152. However, during the closure the public won’t be able to travel across or under the San Joaquin River Bridge on 165, which is being rebuilt.
Crews will replace the San Joaquin River Bridge, widen two other bridges, pave the roadway with asphalt overlay, and modify the Santa Fe Grade Road and Wolfsen Road intersections on the 15-mile stretch of highway.
