MCAG seeks applicants for Citizens Advisory Committee

The Merced County Association of Governments (MCAG) is accepting applications from individuals interested in serving on their Citizens Advisory Committee. Representatives are needed on behalf of Goods Movement, Healthcare, Commerce/Finance and four Citizen-At-Large positions.

The committee advises the MCAG Governing Board, which is made up of an elected official from each of the six cities in Merced County and an elected official from each of the five county districts, involving transportation funding and transportation priorities.

No particular educational background is needed, just an interest in transportation and how it affects residents in the Merced County region.

Committee members are expected to attend monthly meetings, held at the MCAG offices in Merced on the first Friday of each month at 8:30 a.m.Applications are available online at www.mcagov.org/cac.html, by walk-in at 369 West 18th Street, Merced or via email/mail by contacting (209) 723-3153 x323.
