One person was hurt during a home invasion reported Saturday at a residence in the 300 block of Hearst Court in North Merced, police reported.
The incident was reported around 9:30 p.m. and five people were inside the residence at the time, according to Lt. Andre Matthews.
Witnesses reported someone came to the door, and one of the occupants answered it. Three robbers, all male, stormed inside. Matthews said the robbers were looking for someone who no longer lived at the home.
The robbers physically assaulted the occupants, and one had to be taken to the hospital. Matthews said one of the robbers also fired a shot while inside the home, although none of the victims were struck.
The men left the residence with electronics and other items.
Only a few details have be released about the robbers . All were wearing bandanas around their faces. Two of the robbers are black men, while the other robber is a Hispanic man, witnesses said.
