No injuries were reported Monday during a robbery reported at a Check N' Go in Merced, the second robbery of a check cashing business this month.
Officers responded to the 1102 West 16th Street business shortly after 3:30 p.m., after receiving a call from a frightened employee, according to Lt. Andre Matthews.
Witnesses told police two robbers, both Hispanic males, entered the business and demanded money. One was wore a ski mask while the second robber wore a hooded sweatshirt, partially concealing his face.
One of the robbers displayed a handgun and the employees complied with their demands. The robbers took an undisclosed amount of money and fled, Matthews said.
Another Check N' Go robbery was reported on Dec. 1 in Atwater. Three men robbed the 1139 Bellevue Road business and no arrests have been made.
Police haven't said whether the two robberies are connected.
