Little Pink Boxes bakery seeks volunteers to help fundraiser for rescue mission

Little Pink Boxes, a new bakery in downtown Merced, will hold a fundraiser Dec. 16 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. to benefit the Merced Rescue Mission's holiday dinner and toy drive.

Owner Samantha Yniguez invited community leaders to volunteer at least one hour to work at the bakery and help raise money. The leaders also are encouraged to invite friends and families to buy products while they are working. Volunteers will be asked to greet and serve customers, make cookies, wash dishes or hand out samples.

Yniguez said representatives from the sheriff’s office and firefighters have confirmed they’ll volunteer.

All tips will be donated to the rescue mission.

Volunteers are asked to call Samantha at Little Pink Boxes at (209) 723-0720 or email littlepinkboxes@gmail.com to sign up for a shift. No baking skills needed.
