'Community Conversations' to feature Merced College Chorale next two weeks

'Community Conversations' goes musical for the next two weeks as it airs the Merced College Chorale “Christmas Classics and Carols” concert in place of the regular programming. The 85-member chorale group is accompanied by Patrice Stribling Nelson on the piano and a 15-member instrumental ensemble. The music will include many holiday favorites, plus some new-found treasures. The hour-long public service show usually focuses on community, education and government news affecting residents throughout Merced County. It airs on KYOS, 1480 AM, at 7 p.m. Saturday and at 3 p.m. Sunday.

However, the program has a holiday tradition of showcasing Merced College musical talent. The show is produced by Nathan Quevedo, the public information officer for the Merced County Office of Education, Mike Conway, public information officer at the city of Merced, Roger Wood, and Scott Hernandez-Jason of UC Merced, in association with the county of Merced and Merced College.
