Dos Palos police arrest 'armed and dangerous' parolee Monday

Dos Palos Police Officer Cliff Battles on Monday arrested a subject considered armed and dangerous on Monday for a parole violation.

The California Department of Corrections issued a warrant with a caution of “armed and dangerous” for Tony Anthony Civitillo, 44.

Civitillo wass considered a “high-control parolee” with a history of assaults, battery, drug use and possession of firearms, according to a police department news release.

Battles saw Civitillo in a vehicle in the area of Highway 33 and Carmellia at around 12:30 p.m. Battles stopped the vehicle and took Civitillo into custody.

It marked the eighth arrest of a parolee at large in eight weeks by the Dos Palos Police Department.
