Used goods benefit pets
Techs 4 Pets is collecting furniture, knick knacks, cookware, vintage items, electronics and anything that people don’t use any longer to sell at the nonprofit’s Summer Yard Sales. Hip Hop Academy
Fluetsch and Busby Insurance presents the Atwater High School Hip Hop Academy for children starting at 10:30 a.m. at the Multicultural Arts Center, 645 W. Main St., the second Saturday of each month. Admission is $3 for children with accompanying adults or a $10 admission cap per family.

Salsa at the Lake
The Merced County Hispanic Chamber of Commerce will present the first Salsa at the Lake Festival from noon to 5 p.m. June 15 at Lake Yosemite Rotary Cove, 5714 Lake Road. Come out for Father’s Day activities, salsa dancing, vendors and booths, kids corner, a car show, mariachi band, beer garden and more. This event is free and open to the public. The Merced-Mariposa Shrine Club will hold its annual breakfast from 8 a.m. to noon June 14 at the Atwater Veteran’s Park at Buhach and Bellevue roads. Tickets are $10 for adults, $5 for children ages 7 to 12. Children 6 and younger are free. Breakfast includes steak, scrambled eggs, hash browns, biscuits, juice, coffee and fizzes.
