A Turlock man was arrested Tuesday after he allegedly took his son at knifepoint, then eventually dropped the child off to a family member at a nearby Food Maxx, according to Turlock police.
Charles Phillips Polston Jr., 23, was arrested on various charges, including kidnapping, and is in Stanislaus County Jail.
A woman called police to report her 5-month-old son had been taken by her estranged husband. He dropped the child off after law enforcement made contact with him on his cell phone.
His car was later seen at North Golden State Avenue and Pedras Road, and he was arrested.
