LIVINGSTON — A fifth suspect has been arrested in last week's gang-related shooting which injured three people, police said.
The suspect, a 17-year-old male, was arrested by Atwater police at 2:15 p.m. Friday afternoon in the 1100 block of Kelso Street, according to Livingston Police Sgt. Ray Fong.
Fong said police obtained a warrant for the suspect's arrest based on statements from witnesses and some of the co-defendants. He was booked into juvenile hall.
The other suspects Robert Vega, 19, Jesus Solorzano, 18, Ivan Arellano, 20, and a 17-year-old boy, also remain in custody.
The shooting was reported at 7:40 p.m. March 26 in the 1800 block of Walnut Avenue. A group of five males, ranging in age from 21 to 13, were outside when a dark-colored car drove by, according to Lt. Chris Soria.
Someone inside the car fired, striking three of the males, ages 13, 14 and 19. The car fled eastbound on Walnut Avenue.
Police arrived at the scene and found the 13- and 14-year-old boys in the 1800 block of Walnut Avenue. Officers found the 19-year-old victim in the 1500 block of Mulberry Court, Soria said.
All of the victims are recovering from their injuries.
