Merced County Transit (TheBus) said it will the change of its route 14, which provides service in Los Banos.
Effective Monday, Nov. 8, route 14 will be enhanced to now serve the newly opened Los Banos Community Center on7th Street next to the old Union Pacific Railroad right of way. Route 14 will serve the Community Center in both directions of the route. Route 14 operates in both directions on weekdays, but only counter-clockwise on Saturdays.
Route 14 will continue to serve all of the destinations served by the current route, including Kmart, McArthur Apartments, the Fairgrounds & the County Offices, Los Banos Memorial Hospital, Wal-Mart, Los Banos Library and Los Banos High School, as well as the newly opened Community Center.
Merced County Transit operates fixed-route services Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Merced County Transit is ajoint powers authority composed of the cities of Atwater, Dos Palos, Gustine, Livingston, Los Banos, and Merced, as well as the County of Merced.
The program is administered by the Merced County Association of Governments (MCAG) Transit Joint Powers Authority (TJPA) of Merced County.
