A plan that would discourage tract housing in Catheys Valley will be considered by the Mariposa County Board of Supervisors.
The Catheys Valley Draft Community Plan would change the minimum lot size from 2 1/2 acres to 5 acres and was designed to protect agricultural operations and preserve the area's "rural character."
The community plan may be reviewed at http://www.mariposacounty.org/planning. The meeting is scheduled for 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 13, at the Mariposa County Government Center, 5100 Bullion Street, Mariposa.
