The Yosemite Area Audubon Society has two free events planned for April.
Master falconer and naturalist Cat Krosschell of Fresno will present "Birds of Prey" at 7 p.m. on Thursday, April 8, at Wittenberg Hall at the Oakhurst Methodist Church on Road 426. Krosschell's presentation will include a live peregrine falcon, a red-tailed hawk and a great horned owl. For information, call (209) 742-5579.
A birding trip to Bass Lake and Wawona is scheduled for Saturday, April 17. Participants will meet at 8 a.m. at Highway 49 South and Tip Top Road to form carpools. The free trip is recommended for novice birdwatchers. Participants should bring binoculars, field guides and a packed lunch. For more information, call (209) 966-2547.
