Shuttle service between El Portal and Yosemite National Park will expand with the upcoming tourist season, Yosemite officials said. Beginning Monday, Yosemite Area Regional Transportation System (YARTS) will add runs originating from Cedar Lodge in El Portal, scheduled to begin each day at 8 a.m.
YARTS also provides bus service along Highway 140 from Merced to Yosemite, as well as over the Tioga Road into Mammoth Lakes during the summer.
All fares to Yosemite include gate fees. Bus service between Yosemite Valley and El Portal costs $7 per adult, $5 per child between the ages of 12 and 18, and is free for seniors and children under 12. Family packages include three rides for the price of two.
The expanded service will continue until Sept. 9. For a full schedule of bus runs, visit http://www.yarts.com.
