A 22-year-old Turlock resident was arrested in Merced for selling illegal fireworks, according to the Merced Police Department.
Christopher Hamby listed a Craigslist advertisement to sell illegal fireworks, police said in a news release.
Officers with the department's Disruptive Area Response Team responded to the ad and met Hamby just before 8 a.m. Wednesday in a hardware store parking lot in Merced, the release states.
Hamby was arrested and booked into Merced County jail with bail set at $5,400 for allegedly selling, possessing and advertising illegal fireworks, according to Merced County jail records.
