UC Merced event pairs elementary students with scientists

Students and scientists gathered Thursday at UC Merced to talk shop over dinner.

The Merced County Office of Education's fourth Dinner with a Scientist at UC Merced's Lanter Room. The event allowed approximately 140 fifth-through-eighth-grade students who are interested in science to interact with teachers and scientists.

Each table was assigned at least one scientist from local organizations like UC Merced, Merced College and the Merced Police Department.
