A man was fatally shot in a north Modesto house early Tuesday, police said.
Police say the man was in his 30s. They are not releasing his name because his family has not been notified, said police spokesman Sgt. Brian Findlen.
Police responded to the 2000 block of Zeeland Court, just east of Prescott Road, to investigate a reported shooting about 6:15 a.m, Findlen said. Police found the victim inside the home. Paramedics began lifesaving efforts at the scene.
The man was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Police questioned several people who were in the house at the time of the shooting, Findlen said. No arrests have been made.
It's not known whether the victim lived at the house, Findlen said.
Property records show that a South San Francisco man has owned the house since 2001. He could not be reached for comment.
