The Stanislaus County Bicycle Club is sponsoring a "Ride of Silence" on Wednesday to honor cyclists who have been killed or injured because of motorists.
A memorial will be held at 5:45 p.m. at Langworth and Miles roads to remember Mike Richey, killed in September by a motorist. A "ghost bike," or white-painted bike frame, will be mounted at the site in Richey's honor.
The bike ride will begin at 7 p.m. at Moose Park, 512 N. Morton Blvd. in Modesto. Riders will be silent during the 10-mile ride, which is free and open to the public. Helmets are required.
