The San Joaquin County Mosquito and Vector Control District confirmed that an American crow found in the Tracy area has the first sign of West Nile in the area this year.
Officials remind residents to take care against virus- carrying mosquitoes by draining standing water and reporting problems they see.
Stanislaus County residents with addresses north of the Tuolumne River should call the East Side Mosquito Abatement District at 522-4098. All others should call the Turlock Mosquito Abatement District at 634-1234.
