TEACHER SEMINARS

Info: Registration is open for the Ag Science Center's Teacher Agricultural Education Science and Technology Seminars. The seminars will be held June 15-18. Seminars provide teachers training in topics that fit into lesson plans. Topics include DNA and genetics, alternative energy and recycling and soils, garden and nutrition. Registration costs start at $15; lunch and transportation included. Continuing Education units offered through California State University, Stanislaus. MOTORCYCLE RIDE TO HONOR POLICE OFFICERS

When: Saturday, 9 a.m.

Where: Mitchell's Harley-Davidson, 500 N. Carpenter Road

Info: This year's ride will honor all fallen officers, including the four slain Oakland Police Department officers and Modesto police Sgt. Steve May. The ride will start at Mitchell's Harley-Davidson and end at Henderson Park in Snelling at 12:30 p.m. There will be a raffle, food and music by the Kelly McDonald Band. The cost is $10 per rider. GARDEN CLUB BUS TRIP TO GILROY

Info: The Newman Garden Club is taking a bus trip, which is open to the public, to Gilroy. On June 24, the club will go to Gilroy Gardens (formerly Bonfante Gardens) and Goldsmith Seeds.
