Info: Stanislaus County PAL announces the opening of the Crows Landing Bonita Pool. The pool will be open weekends only from Saturday through June 14. From June 16 through Sept. 6, the pool will be open daily. General admission is $1.50 through June 14 and $1 after for the duration of the swim days. Stanislaus County PAL will be offering swimming lessons. Sign-ups will be available at the pool during regular pool hours. Info: Livingston recreation supervisor Jacquie Benoit will celebrate her 50th birthday by holding a party, but there's a catch. Instead of giving her birthday gifts, she's asking for donations to help build an orphanage in the African country of Ghana. The party will include softball, dancing and other activities.
