RED CROSS HEROES BREAKFAST

KIDS DAY CAMPS

When: Beginning June 15

Info: Modesto Junior College Community Education is offering several weeklong day camps for kids. The camps are designed to inspire and energize kids ages 5 to 11 over the summer. A wide variety of themes are offered, including arts and crafts, science, dance, music, cooking, photography, theater and etiquette. Camps run through Aug. 7. Ripon

SUMMER INTERNSHIP

When: Ongoing

Info: College students have the opportunity to spend this summer learning firsthand about state government. State Sen. Dave Cogdill, R-Modesto, has internships in his Ripon district office. The volunteer positions are unpaid, but interns receive a certificate and letter of recommendation at the end of the program. Interns are required to work a minimum of 10 hours per week and provide their own transportation. For more information, call the Ripon office at 599-8540.
