YMCA CAMP REGISTRATION

INFO: The YMCA of Stanislaus County is registering for the summer sessions at Camp Jack Hazard. Located in the Stanislaus National Forest, Camp Jack Hazard holds sessions for children ages 6 to 17 from July 26 to Aug. 16. Campers participate in swimming, hiking, backpacking, rock climbing, rappelling, and high and low rope challenge courses. Sessions are seven days. GENEALOGICAL MEETING

INFO: Bill and Shann Rupp will provide information from diaries and memories of pioneers who crossed the Great Plains to California and Oregon at the Tuolumne County Genealogical Society meeting. They will give background information about the Census of Overland Emigrant Documents, a program of the Oregon California Trails Association, which surveys diaries and memories of pioneers who crossed the plains, and enter names, locations and dates into a database. Refreshments will be served.
