Ceres burglary nets 4 years in prison

A woman who was spotted rifling through the business office at Ace Hardware in Ceres on May 3 was sentenced to four years eight months in prison after she pleaded no contest to second-degree burglary, receiving stolen property and possessing methamphetamine.

Deanna West, 38, of Ceres was detained by store employees until police arrived, according to a statement from the Stanislaus County district attorney's office.
