The Oakdale Police Department is investigating a shooting Sunday night on G Street that injured two men in a car, according to officer Michael Walsh.
Walsh said two men were walking eastbound on G Street at 11:10 p.m. when a car heading in the opposite direction slowed down. The men in the car began exchanging words with the pedestrians when one of the pedestrians pulled out a gun and shot two passengers in the back seat, Walsh said.
The car then sped away and dropped the two men off at Oak Valley Hospital. The driver of the car was later pulled over several blocks away and questioned.
One man was shot in the neck, and later released, and another suffered a nonlife-threatening wound to the head and was later transported to a Modesto hospital. The identity of the men, their hometowns and their ages were not available.
No arrests have been made, and the investigation is ongoing.
