Oakdale police are investigating a shooting Sunday night that injured two men in a car, according to officer Michael Walsh. He said two men were walking east on G Street at 11:10 p.m. when a car heading the opposite direction slowed. The men in the car began exchanging words with the pedestrians, and one of the pedestrians pulled out a gun and shot two passengers in the back seat, Walsh said. The car sped away and dropped the two men off at Oak Valley Hospital. The driver was pulled over several blocks away and questioned. One man was shot in the neck and later released; the other suffered a nonlife-threatening wound to the head and was taken to a Modesto hospital. The names of the men, their hometowns and ages were not available. No arrests have been made. If you have information about the case, call the Police Department at 847-2231 and ask for Detective Dan Taylor.
