Two men were arrested Tuesday after a report of shots fired in the 500 block of Covena Avenue in Modesto, police said. Neither arrest was related to the shooting.
Police received close to a dozen 911 calls reporting gunshots at about 4:40 a.m., said police spokesman Sgt. Brian Findlen.
When officers arrived, they found a large group of people at a house. The house had been struck by at least one round, said Findlen. Officers found spent casings in the area. Witnesses told police they heard a vehicle speeding away. Police are investigating whether shots were fired from a vehicle, said Findlen.
Police arrested Michael Edward Glancy, 49, on suspicion of obstructing an investigation and violation of parole. Glancy is a resident of the house where people had gathered.
Police arrested Raymond Zuniga, 21, on a theft-related warrant.
Police have not identified any suspects in the shooting. No one was injured.
