TURLOCK -- One of the two teenagers believed to be responsible for assaulting and tying up a 60-year-old Turlock woman was arrested this morning in Fresno, according to the Turlock Police Department.
The woman's car, which was stolen after the Monday night assault at a Turlock foster care facility, also was found in Fresno. Officers are still looking for the second suspect, according to Turlock police Sgt. Nino Amirfar.
Police responded to the 1100 block of Tuolumne Road at 11:17 p.m. The woman was treated at a hospital for bruises, abrasions and a broken rib and was released from the hospital, Sgt. Nino Amirfar said.
The two suspects were acquaintances in Fresno County, where both lived with their respective families before being placed at the residential facility, Amirfar said.
The suspects' names are being withheld because they are juveniles.
The suspects face charges of carjacking, felony battery (causing serious bodily injury) and false imprisonment, all felonies, Amirfar said.
