Modesto police continue investigating what they consider a possible gang-related shooting that took place in the airport neighborhood early Sunday.
Homicide detectives have conducted several interviews and are following several leads. In a news release today, police disclosed only one new fact about the case, that the victim was 33 years old.
The man suffered life-threatening injuries and remains in critical condition at a Modesto hospital, Sgt. Brian Findlen said.
Findlen declined to say where on his body the man was shot or whether anyone else was in the home in the 600 block of Thrasher Avenue when police arrived there about 2:30 a.m. Sunday.
